OUR PHILOSOPHY

haven boxing is a radically inclusive gym.

As a women-, queer-, and POC-led space, HAVEN uses boxing and training to build not only technique and power, but confidence and resilience for everyday life.

HAVEN is for anyone who has ever been made to feel excluded or othered in a fitness space. We exist to push back against an all-too-often exclusionary and oppressive fitness industry. As a space built around moving, we take a body-neutral approach to respecting all bodies, every day. We believe in health at every size, skill at every level, and strength in every form.

At HAVEN, radical inclusion means both staff and clients are committed to making brave spaces for all people to exist as their full selves. And, it means being individually accountable and open to learning from and respecting the intersectional experiences of others. We don’t believe any of us are perfect, and to be radically inclusive at HAVEN means to commit to doing right by everyone in the space.

Founded by friends, with a focus on community, equity, co-creation, and strength, HAVEN offers a place for people of all skill levels and all bodies to find a love for boxing and fitness.

HAVEN ACCESS FUND

HAVEN is a business operating under capitalism and working to pay our staff equitably. While we have worked hard to make sure our class and membership pricing is as affordable as possible, we know that still does not mean it’s accessible to all. Our HAVEN Access Fund is supported by our own allotment along with community and partner donations, and allows us to comp memberships and classes for those who may not otherwise be able to join us. The Fund is designed to center BIPOC, queer, and trans community members.

The application process will be announced soon.
